JIM & SYLVIA CAMPANA'S FEBRUARY PRAYER AND NEWS UPDATE
Greetings from the Campana's, your missionaries to Juarez, Mexico.
Violence continues to escalate here in the city of Juarez, with 150 homicides just during the first month of this new year. But we are confident that where sin abounds, grace will much more abound. Because of this violence our missionary church, Iglesia Bautista Agua Viva (Living Water Baptist Church) has started visiting a local hospital in Juarez. There we have met with many distraught parents and relatives over loved ones who are sick, or who become victims of the violence. Praise God, to date we have seen 21 people come to Christ. The hunger for the Word is absolutely incredible! As I speak, many interested people will walk up and sit down to listen in.
Our Mexican Bible Institute is back up and running since Jan. 13th. Presently they are 36 students in my Ministerial Ethics class, and growing! Three brethren from our church came to take classes this past Tuesday night, Javier & Sara Mondragon, and Sara's sister Lisette. This is a first for us, praise the Lord!
In last night's Wed. night prayer meeting we had 28 people out, with two precious kids receiving Christ, Sergio & Leslie. God put it on our heart to pray for these new kids, and the Lord answered! Currently we are discipling three new converts, and my wife Sylvia is training two ladies to be new teachers (Sara & Violeta). Two of our faithful Mexican ladies took off for a month of vacation to southern Mexico to visit relatives, leaving my wife will all of the burden.
Please pray for the following:
1. God's power and annointing as we continue to bring the gospel door to door in the city of Juarez.
2. For God's blessing on our Feb. 14th Valentines banquet. We are inviting many unsaved spouses to attend with their saved spouses.
3. Continued safety.
4. Training of teachers and soul winners.
5. Blessing upon our Mexican Bible Institute.
